We Don’t Look Away
Today, Humanitarian aid was blocked. Again. The Madleen, a ship carrying baby formula, food, and hope, was intercepted in international waters. Greta Thunberg and fellow activists were detained.
For trying to feed the hungry.
And while the world debates, delays, and deflects- children in Gaza continue to die. Aid is being criminalized. Grief is being censored. Protest is being punished.
But I want you to hear this cloud and clear:
We are not helpless. We are not voiceless. I wrote to my representative today. I contacted the Israeli embassy, I’m not saying that to be performative. I’m saying it because silence can’t be the legacy we leave behind.
So here’s what I ask:
Learn the names.
Read the stories.
Join the protests.
Send aid if you can.
And most of all - remember
Remember that solidarity isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like a flyer. A vigil. A cold shower. A quiet cry. But each act says:
"This is not normal. This is not okay. This is not in vain.”
I urge you to please reach out to your representatives. If you do not know their contact information I encourage you to download the 5 stars app.
