The System Isn’t Broken- It Was Built This Way
We’re told the system is broken. It is not. It’s functioning exactly as it was designed to- to numb, silence, isolate, and redirect pain away from the source. Medicine does not heal. It numbs. It slaps a bandage over a gunshot wound and calls it care- as long as the profit holds. Mental Health “support” often means a diagnosis, a prescription, and a polite way to say: please suffer more quietly. Mothers are handed impossible decisions, Caregivers go unseen until they collapse. Education is defunded on purpose. And reproductive rights? We are being forced to give birth into a system that refuses to care for the children once they’re here. It is not broken. It is hostile. And yet we are still here. Still building, still speaking, still walking into each other’s pain and choosing to stay. That is why Not In Vain exists. Not to play the game. But to remind you that healing will not come from the one’s who build the wound. It will come from us. From the one’s who show up in quiet defiance. From the one’s who create new systems, even in the ruins. From those who whisper:
You are not too much.
You are just enough to threaten what was
never meant to hold us.
This isn’t hope.
It’s clarity.
And clarity is harder to kill.
